Making the Trade

This guide is intended to walk you through acquiring the various stages of the Trade bloodline. The Trade's primary benefits are related to bingo'ing people. If you don't intend to bingo people often, the Trade is probably going to be a waste of time for you, though is does have other benefits as well. This guide will assume you know how to bingo already, and won't explain the mechanics of bingo'ing.
All trade allies can go on reaper missions.

Getting Started

To get started you need Note Pages. A lot of them. Most people would suggest getting at least 6 before you begin. More would be better! When you first start out, there's only two ways to get a Note Page. Both are somewhat random. The first way is to win them from the Prize Wheel. This is rare. The second way is from the C-Rank mission Write a Ninja Essay as a hidden item. To get it from the mission, you'll want to use Epic Dog Urination Technique.

Note: Hyuk now drops Note Pages, so you need less to get started. Get Hyuk first (details below) and farm Note Pages from his item drops - this is more efficient, since you'll need to farm for Juicy Apples anyway. To do this, you simply need Epic Dog Urination Technique and three Note Pages - plus a few extra in case the people you're Bingo'ing are protected from it.

You can start this path without Note Pages, but you'll have to be able to successfully bingo people the old fashioned way, so it will take significantly longer. This is particularly true if you end up getting yourself bingo'd as a result of a failed bingo attempt, which will keep you from moving on for 24 hours.

Make The Trade (Lvl 1)

Do it with Style! - Obtaining Hyuk

Hyuk.gif

Your first goal is to get Hyuk. To do that, you need to obtain 200 style points. You get style points every time you successfully bingo someone. If you want to speed things up, at the beginning of bingo combat, utilize a Note Page. Doing so will insta-kill your opponent and you automatically get 35 points instead of 5 or a little more if you try to kill him the old fashion way. If you don't have a Note Page, or you just don't want to use one, keep bingo'ing until you get to 200 style points. Another way is to finish the enemy off with Epic Dog Urination Technique, which will give more than 40 points and can be used in junction with a Note page. As an alternative, you can bypass all this by using This Hand Of Mine, a jutsu taught by Doughman. While it gives a whopping 100 Style points if used to finish a bingo, it also automatically hits you with a 48 hour bingo that CRWs can't cure, which means that you have to wait a day in between bingos. If you don't mind getting the necessary Style a little more slowly, though, this method is more efficient stamina-wise and spares you the bother of hunting down a bunch of Notepages from unreliable sources. Regardless of how you do it, once you hit 200 style points, Hyuk will join you as an ally.

Note that you get no Style bonus for bingoing Season 1 Genin. Even if you do this step at a level where a level 6 ninja is not outside your range to bingo, it is recommended that you aim for ninja of at least level 12.

A Dangerous Bargain - Make a Trade

Once you've obtained Hyuk, you need to move onto the next stage. Put Hyuk in your team and go do some missions. It doesn't matter which ones really, but it's recommended that you do C-Rank missions to try and get Write A Ninja Essay! in order to get more Note Pages. You just need Hyuk to drop some Juicy Apples to move on though. Specifically, you need five Juicy Apples. So just keep doing regular missions until you get five of them.

Once you have five Juicy Apples, check your 'Quest' menu. There should be a mission mentioning Hyuk following you around. To complete this mission you give Hyuk the five Juicy Apples. Then you have to pass a Gen 11d11s skill check. After that, you have to either Bingo a Village leader or gain a total of 500 style points. You can then make the Trade.

The Trade involves giving up 10 stamina per day in exchange for the ability to make some new allies, items, +10 stamina for a successful bingo, and the ability to trade 2 Juicy Apple to see who's currently bingo'd. It's currently 2 Juicy Apple per Village, and you can see every bingo'd Ninja in that Village. This will help you avoid attacking people who are already bingo'd. This ability will be invaluable for your future bingo attempts.

The Note (Lvl 2)

You have made The Trade. Congratulations. Your goal now is to get the permanent item The Note and the bonuses that come with it. To do this you need to do some preparation. Fortunately The Trade will help greatly here. The first thing you need to do is get the two allies, Right and Anonymous, in any order.

Obtaining Right

Right.gif

Getting Right is relatively easy. Put Hyuk in your team, and then go bingo someone who is not already under the effects of a bingo using a Note Page to instant-kill them. Right should join you!

Obtaining Anonymous

Anonymous.gif

Getting Anonymous is a bit more difficult. You need to be the victim of a note page assisted soft bingo.

One way to accomplish this feat is to go off and bingo a bunch of people in a single Village. Your goal here is to get them to want to a quick revenge kill on you. Unfortunately, there are two problems with this method; first this has the effect of making an entire village rather mad at you. Second, you run the risk of being attacked without a note page.

A more diplomatic approach is to find an active BvS community and ask to be hit with a note page. Such requests may be directed to your village allies. Other popular places to ask such request are the BvS IRC Channel, the Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN Forums, or even the Wiki Forums.

Completing Outwitting the Best

Once you have both Right and Anonymous, you will have a new quest called Outwitting the Best. Before even contemplating the mission you should have at least the following:

  • One of the following:
    • Have a lot of Friend Points saved up with both Right and Anonymous
    • Have the Floating on Air theme
    • Two Make-Out Mood Enhancers and at least 140 appetite
    • Or, if you are Season 3+, you also have the option of using Tsuki-ball lottery tickets (500 each, or 1000 for both Right and Anonymous).
  • Have 600,000 Jutsu XP saved (Or less if you have Eternal Mirrors/If you plan to combine your hang out and jutsu steps)
  • Optional: Have 5 Note Pages
  • Optional: Enough Juicy Apples to view the lifelines of at least a few villages. To be on the safe side have at least 6 or even 8 apples.

Your first goal is to get Anonymous’ Obsessive Insight and Right’s Dark Consolidation Jutsus. The next requirement is to hang out with both Anonymous and Right, so if you wish to speed up the process, you may want to combine the two steps to save some Jutsu XP.

Whether you already have the two Jutsu, or you are waiting to get them later, you should now proceed to hang out with both Right and Anonymous.

The most basic method is to get enough friend points so that you are almost hanging out with both of them, then spend a day getting as many friend points as possible. This method needs the least preparation, but the chance of success is somewhat fickle. The basic idea is to track the Right and Anonymous friend points for a few days (Main menu at BvS -> Top Ally Friend Points at the bottom) to understand approximately how many points you need to get a hangout. Once you have a good idea of how many friend points you need, get just a bit less, and the next day run missions with Anon, Right, and J-Diddy, using The Ninja-Mas Spirit and Battle of Champions if available, to get as many friend points as possible. If you're worried you won't have enough with just that, then throw parties at the party-room.

Alternatively, complete The Freshest Move I've Ever Seen and activate Floating on Air with both Right and Anonymous in your party at the end of the day (ATTENTION! By activation of FoA theme you'll lose ALL your ryo and credits! Spend them before dayroll.).

Or, if it's the 11th of the month, ride The Tunnel and hang out with all your teammates for free. (You may want your third teammate to help you get one of your summons, or to hang out with Doughman for the Pants/Pantsless Monochrome quest.)

Finally, you could obtain two Make-Out Mood Enhancers ( and a Hollow Leg if attempting this as a Chunin ). Then activate the item once with Right and once with Anonymous in your party.

So you have now passed the first two parts of the mission. Unfortunately this is only half the battle. Now Hyuk wants you to successfully bingo five people, without hitting anyone who is bingo'd at the moment, all in one day. At the very least you need 210 (You may expend 200, but you need 210 to finish it and then receive +10) stamina to accomplish this feat. Needless to say, it is best to do this part of the quest on a day when you have plenty of stamina to go around. You may want to wait for a 7-day stream and have an Ultra Elixir or Super Potion ready to go if you don't have enough Juicy Apples to go around. Now go into the bingo menu, find a good candidate village with plenty of players near your level, use your apples to view the village lifelines. Note pages can help a lot for this step of the process, but you can do your bingos normally if you wish.

With this accomplished you can go ahead and finish off your quest. You will be asked to trade an additional 10 stamina for the privilege of having The Note. This will give you the 'Note Rush,' which gives you +20% AP, XP, and Ryo for the rest of the day for bingoing an unbingo'd ninja ( does not require using a Note page ).

Congratulations, you've made The Trade Lvl. 2!

After The Note

Now that you have the note you have several options open to you. First, you can get the ally LisaLisa. Having her in your party overnight will give you +20 stamina, which makes up for the 20 stamina loss you took to get this far. If you are Season 2+, and you have LisaLisa, you may also continue on to get The Tote, which will provide new jutsu, open up a new trophy, and one of two very powerful themes. Otherwise, you can be proud of your accomplishment.

Obtaining LisaLisa

LisaLisa.gif

You can only get LisaLisa after you have The Note. If you wish to obtain LisaLisa you must hang out with Right OR Anonymous again, but it must be done in a way that activates overnight. This can be done either by friend points, or by using Floating on Air.
Hanging out with both at once works as well, its just not necessary.

The Tote (Lvl. 3)

To get The Tote (i.e. The Trade Lvl. 3), you must be Season 2+, and have all of the Trade allies (Hyuk, Right, Anonymous and LisaLisa).

This mission involves three parts. First, you chose who you will side with by selecting one of two missions, similar to how you chose which ability to specialize in when becoming a Special Jonin. Second, you will be required to pass a moderately difficult Gen roll (Difficulty:19 Successes:15). Third, you will be required to bingo 10 people in one day.

Making a Choice: Sick of Him!

Now you have to make a choice. You can either choose "Sick of Him! (Anonymous)" (to keep Right and lose Anonymous), or "Sick of Him! (Right)" (to keep Anonymous and lose Right). You may only choose one, and the ally you lose will be lost until the end of your current season. Whichever ally you chose to keep will level up, as will LisaLisa, while the other will leave your selection of teammates once you've completed the mission. The main benefit to leveling up your bingo allies is that they have some pretty incredible new jutsu and unlock powerful themes.

In addition, you will obtain a theme when you loop based on which character you chose to keep.

Choose carefully!

The Bingo Bonanza

Whichever path you choose, there is a Gen d19 s15 challenge; then, you'll be given the task of making 10 bingo's in a single day.

You'll again be asked to give up 10 stamina per day for this Trade, but the jutsu gains are pretty amazing. You also get +30 stamina for each successful bingo, and obtain The Tote, which gives you a +10 range to attacking a village if you note page Bingo their Kage.
