It might have something later, but currently the only reason to do it is if you don't want to have it in your hidden quests list.

Having discovered that there used to be an item that counts as a moon for the purpose of this quest, I kind of want to see the alternate victory text for using a Wheel of Cheese instead of Full Moon.
